The Deux Vert residence is set atop a hill within a native oak woodland, framing views to the vineyard and hills beyond. Taking inspiration from the agrarian context, a restrained material palette of concrete, native stone and metal adorn the intimate gathering spaces. While the courtyards are carefully placed to emphasize seamless flow from the house interior, the pool and lawn terraces perch above the surrounding vineyard with strong edges open to the views beyond. By strategically situating the house into the hillside, the pure geometries of the curated gardens further delineate the line between designed garden and the natural landscape.
